Teen Youth Group
Feel Empowered & Strengthened
Here at First Presbyterian Church we believe that youth groups are an important part of our teens’ faith journey. In their early years, we strive to equip our kids with knowledge of the Bible. As they age, it becomes important to help them apply those lessons to their real lives. Youth group can be a vital component in a teen’s social and emotional development. Being a teen is hard. They experience anxiety about school, jobs, and their peers, but modern day kids have the added pressures of social media and rebounding from a worldwide pandemic. We want our kids to have a safe place to talk about their challenges and be able to engage them with Christ-centered responses to their real (and virtual) world problems. Our kids should feel empowered and strengthened by God’s love, regardless of their individual circumstances.
Middle School Youth Group
Our Mid-Kids, those aged 6th through 8th grade, meet every Wednesday at 7:00 pm at our partner church, Shepherd of the Hill for some mid-week fun. The kids are encouraged to invite a friend (or two) to come and enjoy a scavenger hunt, game, or a special adventure. You never know what to expect with this crew!
High School Youth Group
Our high school students, ages 9th through 12th grade. We gather every Sunday afternoon at 12 pm. Some weeks we hang out in the youth room and some weeks we go further afield for community outreach events, concerts, or other special outings. In either case, fun and fellowship are always a priority.
